Okay so this year has definitely been a wonderful start for my couponing heart's desire. Unfortunately I haven't been saving my left over money, just been investing it in more food options. However this week, I did invest some, but I do have some that I can put aside!

Today, I decided to go to Pathmark, even though I wasn't initaly planning to. So, I get to the store, put some things in my cart them Emma is like 'Mommy I gotta go potty'. So I go to the customer service desk and ask for a bathroom and they say that they don't have public bathrooms. So I ditch the cart put the girls in the van, drive over the the Burger King (in the same plaza) and take them potty, load back up into the van head back to the store. Now, you see I am thinking, Lord should I really be here? I mean, come on. But sure enough I head back into that store to get some good deals! So as you can see i did extremely well. Couponing in 2010!

Okay, so this past few holidays, Thanksgiving thru this new year, I haven't been dedicating time to my couponing like I used to. So on of my resolutions for this year is to keep a record of my sales and to actually set aside all the money that I save. See, before I had been using the extras to get more groceries, but now, I want to set aside my savings to see what couponing really can save me. So here is a coupon of sites that I use, and for those who are interested in couponing, check out these sites:

My prayer for this year (for my couponing) is that the Lord will bless me with the knowledge of the best deals, and to use my money wisely with every purchase. To cut down on my extra trips for things I run out of or forgot.

May you have a great year of couponing and if you need any help, I am here.

Can you still tell? Nothing drastic, just a trim.

Dinning on a Budget!

Okay, so I had some friends over today to teach them about couponing and really saving some money with coupons. I was so very encouraged by their enthusiam today. So, when my husband got home, he asked me to run to the store and get this deal: 5 Dinners in 1 Bag. I didn't want to cause I didn't have coupons, but then I thought. Saving money shouldn't just be limited to coupons. I wondered how much would it actually cost to feed a family of five for six nights! So off to Wolly-World I went with the list and whatever it wold cost. The menu includes: Sloppy Tacos, Cheeseburger Mac, 1-Skillet Stuff Chicken, Pizza, Macaroni, Cheesey Chicken & Broccoli Rice (the last meal is the macaroni with left overs). Here is the list of ingredients along with their price. If you would like the recipes leave a comment with your email.

Tea Party for the Girls!

The saying, "Like mother, like daughter" has never been more true in my life. My passion for tea grows more and more everyday. Sure, coffee is nice, great for caffine boost, however, tea has so many more components that can cover so many more feelings. I don't think my girls have developed quite the passion I have, however they love and I mean love to drink tea. "Monkey see, monkey do" and that is it.
So as a special treat to them, I got them a porcaline miniture tea set. I sat down with them and explained it wasn't for play and that we would use it for special occasions. They were super excited.
Once we got home, I was busy cleaning today, and they just jumped right in and started helping without me even asking. So I thought, if this isn't a special occasion, first day of school and super helpers, I didn't know what would be, so I broke out the porcaline.

First Day of 'Real' School!

Who would have thought that kids who were so eager to go to school would be so grumpy getting up! Both Emma and Ashley just moaned and groaned as I tried to get them up and out of bed. Mikey wasn' to bad, but he is a morning person. I must say that it was kinda neat to step back and look at all five of us getting ready. We don't normally all get ready at the same time! There was much hustle and bustle, a few things missplaced, but that was quickly ironed out. Everyone was dressed, feed, hair & teeth brushed and ready to go 1/2 early! We took lots of pictures and the kids were just waiting and kept asking "Is it time to go yet?"

Off we went on our 10 minute trek to school. By this time, the kids would not stop chatting about school this and school that We walked the kids to their classrooms and dropped them off. I didn't want to leave the girls, Mikey I knew would be okay, but my babies! Mike walked me out of the school and I just slumped on his shoulder, "My babies aren't babies anymore! What am I supposed to do now?". Enthusiasticly (a little to much) he replied, "CLEAN!!!!!"

I was pleasantly suprised how quite the house could be and how much I was able to accomplish with them gone. I definitely missed them more than I thought I would. I went to pick the girls, only to find they were afraid I wasn't coming cause it had been a really long time. They didn't cry to much, but they did say they had a great time. They explored the school with two different tours, and enjoyed a mid morning snack. Mikey, who was nervous before school, said that school was awesome! He said that he had one class he didn't like, he couldn't remember which one it was, but he said it was to long! All in all they had fun, and they want to go back!
