My First Coupon Crazy Experience

Well I first must give a shout out to Stephanie Lankford who gave me all of this great advise. So, I have always been one to pinch my pennies, and even now during this economy, I have been pinching even more. So, I started visiting these blogs: thecentisblemama.com, thecentisblesawyer.blogspot.com, and crazycouponmon.blogspot.com. These are ladies that show you the best deals at grocery and drug stores and how to utilize coupons to get the most for your money. Now if I have another price along with the total and I sho a different price it means that that particual item was on sale, or at different stores it may cost such and such price. So, with that said, here is my first coupon crazy experience.

First Day of School! 2008

Well, today was the first day of Homeschool for the girls, and Mikey's first day of 1st grade! We had a rough start, but I think that everything will work out. I worked with the girls on raising their hadns, and calling me 'Mrs. Downs' (just to keep it school like). They did really good I thought, but they do have some things they will have to work on. Little things really. Sitting still, not talking all the time, sucking thier thumb in class. They are definitely willing and I think they will do well. Mikey did good with his seatwork and is adapting to cursive writing. This week is kinda easy because there isn't to much to do with the girls. So far, school is only taking about 2 1/2 hours. Hopefully school will continue to go well. Thank you for all your prayers. I know I will need it, because last year there wree problems and I know that there will be snafoo's along the way.

The Girls First Hair Cut

Well, today the girls got their hair cut. Not by choice, but because it had to be done. A few weeks ago, the girls decided to cut their own hair and it looked really bad. So today, Nonna took the girls to get their hair all trimmed up. It looks very good, even though it is shorter. This way at least, it will grow out good.

Starting My Own Business

Well, for those who might not already know, in July, I became an Avon Representative! I have been looking for ways to earn some extra money, while not having to put out a lot of money to do it?
It has been going very well. It hasn't exploded, however, I seem to be having 3-4 new customers each campaign, even though only 1-2 repeats. That is fine, so far I have been growing customer wise as well as profit wise, which is great to me. I am not looking to make lots of money, just to make enough for a few extras.
If you are interested in making money, or purchasing Avon products, please let me know so I can show you the best way to do both.

Welcome to Our Blog!

I want to welcome everyone, friends and family and maybe strangers to our family blog! I have been blogging for a few months now, about myself and things that happen to me, so I thought how nice it would be to blog about my family, so that everyone could know what is going on.

As long as everything is running smoothly, I will blog about our latest, greatest, maybe not-so-greatest moments, and some fun ones in between. Talk about a new way to keep in touch without even leaving your home! I love technology.

As far as things to look forward to, there is the kids homeschooling, Mike's teaching in our Church's Bible Institute, myself becoming an Avon Representative, birthday's, holidays, and everydays! Hope you all enjoy! Please leave comments, suggestions and such, so we know you are reading.

Renovations at Last!

Our house seems to be a little caotic these past few weeks while our main level and basement are transformed into, well, better than what they are now. We knew that our basement needed to be finished since I would be homeschooling all three of our children this year! Yes, three kids in two grades, and no, I am not nuts! So, better late than never, we asked a friend of a friend to help us this this mighty task. Our friend began about three weeks ago and and now we have most of the drywall put up. hopefully in two weeks, we will be completely done. However, my wonderful husband decided that since we were doing the basement, we should fix up the main level as well. So, while our friend is working on the downstairs, we are busy painting and doing the floor upstairs. The wall color is a buttercream yellow and the floor is a darker oak, the pergo stuff. I think it will look really nice, but I am kinda stumped on curtians and decor. Any suggestions, please let me know.
Our basement is going to be a multi-task room, for entertainment/schoolroom/exercise room. We are really excited to have all of this done, and we are even more excited that we are in a finacial place to be able to do something like this. God is so good how He prepares you to handle the future.
I do not think that since this has gone on, our house has been clean! I mean, sure it has been picked up, but not really cleaned! We are wanting to get a lot of the clutter out, but are unsure in how to do this. Any suggestions, please let us know!
